The holidays are a special time to spend with loved ones and to reflect on the passed year. Each year during Thanksgiving it is important we take the time to express our appreciation for family, friends, and life experiences. Gratitude is a powerful catalyst in the search for happiness.

Families and loved ones come together during this time to enjoy meals, share stories over a full dinner table, and then take their full bellies on grand shopping sprees. With the excitement during this time, it is easy to forget the big picture. We sometimes fail to recognize the privilege we have in our access to shelter, clothing, transportation, and a table full of food. To be able to acquire, cook, and eat food is a privilege. To go to bed full and satisfied every night is a privilege. To walk into a grocery store full of every kind of food you can imagine is a privilege. In our country, childhood hunger is a debilitating issue that affects a large portion of the population. As reported by No Kid Hungry, a non-profit organization focused on eradicating hunger, 1 in 7 children in the United States go hungry and over 11 million live in food insecure households.

To support this effort, we at Bohana are partnering with No Kid Hungry by launching our No Kids Hungry Friendsgiving campaign. This Thanksgiving, we are collecting donations for the cause and encourage you to create dialogue with your friends and family about gratitude, food insecurity and food access in our communities. If you are interested in participating in this initiative, please check out this link to donate!
On Cyber Monday 100% of sales from our website www.bohanalife.com will be donated to No Kid Hungry.
